PDO Threads
I offer three different types of PDO threads. These are mono threads, volumising threads and lifting threads.
PDO mono threads are a dissolvable filament which are coated in a material called Polydioxanone. Mono threads are used for a gradual skin thickening, tightening and rejuvenation effect without creating volume.
Mono threads are an injectable procedure, and they are inserted under the skin and instantly removed, leaving behind the filament. They are injected in a mesh like pattern and provide support structure for your skin. As the threads dissolve, they leave behind their result!
Volumising threads are similar. They are thicker and are inserted into areas where volumising is required such as the nasolabial folds (the line that runs from your nose to your mouth) or along the side of your chin.
For optimum results, two treatments are required. Some results are seen instantly, but these are more of a temporary result due to the insertion of the needles. Results are seen from approximately six weeks and peak at three months. These results will last up to twelve months.
Popular treatment areas include;
Lines and crepiness on cheeks
Around the mouth
Smokers lines above the lip
The neck and individual neck lines
Around the eyes
Lifting threads also known as long or barbed threads are generally used in the mid or lower face. Once inserted, they are able to be pulled and stay in place with small barbs on the thread, which creates a lift. These are not suitable for everyone and a prior consultation before booking in for these are required.
PDO threads have the potential for downtime including swelling and bruising.
Please book in for a consultation to discuss treatment options and to obtain exact quotes.
